Newbie - Looking for Opponent(s) (Closed)

Post by Don Lazov » 24 Jun 2021 17:13

I am very new to the Napoleonic Wars. I have some experience with PzC, but only have 5 Napoleonic titles and very limited exposure to this type of warfare.

But I am looking to learn.

Thinking a 12-18 turn scenario with not a ton of forces would be good for me.

These are the games I have presently:

Republican Bayonets on the Rhine
Napoleon’s Russian Campaign
Campaign Austerlitz
Campaign Liepzig
Campaign Waterloo

Awesome!

Will look through all my Nappy games and find a suitable scenario for us to play.

Greetings Sir,

If your dance card is not full; and you have the inclination, I am also free for a small to medium sized engagement. Entirely up to you. Just pick the scenario and send the relevant details.

Gregor,

Greetings to you too! I may be able to fit a small one in before either tournament starts. I am still pretty new to things (I have only played 4 I think PBEM games with Panzer Campaign, mostly have played solo, only got into JTS in December I think).

I sent a screen shot to Al for advice on setting up a scenario for us and I also am not sure which optional rules everyone uses, I have just used the default rules so far for most games.

What is cool is that the tournament has 3 of the games I own so I may select 1 from each of the other two I own and play Al and you and see what where things lead.

Okay, I just went for it. I got you both setup for the following fun (I am sure you'll decimate me, lol).

For Al we will be playing a small 12 turn scenario from Republican Bayonets on the Rhine. I just completed my turn and took several losses from long ranged artillery!

And for Gregor I also took some cavalry losses to artillery in a 12 turn scenario Campaign Liepzig.

I have so much to learn lol...
emailing turns out shortly...

Gregor's email should be GregorMorgan(at)aol(dot)com.

Is that what you were using, Don?

Mark,

I found out the issue.

Originally I went to the Napoleonic Era and then The French and then V Corps and did search for Morgan and I then clicked his name and tried to send him an email with my turn.

https://www.wargamingsociety.com/napol/ ... s_rdc.html

The email sent but I later got a bounce back and on further inspection I see this:

gregormartin (at) aol (dot) com

It should be Morgan per your post.

When I hover over his name on the V Corps page it does show the martin instead of morgan.

I was able to send the file to the Morgan account.

Sorry for the long winded message, but was trying to be clear, lol.
