Napoleon's Last Army Waterloo
For those that like to look at books and nice illustrations, Lombardy Studios has launched a kickstarter for a book featuring the art of Keith Rocco with research and text by Paul L. Dawson. I have the Rocco book for the Civil War and it is very nice. Some may have an interest, look here: https://lombardystudios.com/2021/02/24/ ... nouncement

French Guard Horse Chasseurs at Waterloo. One of the most famous units of Napoleon’s Imperial Guard, the Chasseurs à cheval de la garde still had to make do with whatever uniforms and equipment could be obtained before the 1815 campaign. These cavalrymen of the elite company are shown with bearskin colpack headgear. Nearly 500 new ones were made in early 1815, but only 50 were delivered to the supply depot in France – the day before Waterloo. Read and see more in Rocco’s upcoming art book Waterloo: Napoleon’s Last Army, with paintings and text that incorporate more than two decades’ research in French army archives by historian and author Paul Lindsay Dawson.
