Re: WDS Blog on the Napoleonic Series
Obviously Basic Training section is hardly relevant to someone who has been playing the series since day one. Once again, I disagree with you, Alex. There are some who have been playing since day one that would still benefit from basic training. Tenure does not in any way equate to ability. Basic t...

Re: Kudos to WDS
Please keep in mind that the changes in 4.07 are in optional rules. That means you have an option! It is up to you to decide which options are preferred. Again, this is a false and misleading statement. Some of the changes are in the optional rules, others have been hard coded into the game engine....

Re: Kudos to WDS
Ah yes, I suspected that you favored H&R and R&H. Thanks for clarifying your position, Stan. As previously stated in this topic, I don't like either system. I am not certain that I understand your reference to vanity. Perhaps you will elaborate. I am entirely certain that I could not disagree with y...

But there is another side of the newbies feedback story – some veteran players who mastered the tactics using current version of the engine may oppose any advancements and improvement which bring further realism into the series but challenges their status quo. Certainly a bold statement. I am just ...

Re: Kudos to WDS
Alex: I never said that you were the author of the optional rules. Why would you make that assumption? I also never said that you personally were the one to instigate the recent changes to the WDS game engines, although you obviously support them because you think they make the games more "realistic...

Re: Kudos to WDS
Alex: Are you not the "Alexey" to whom Rich refers in this blog? https://wargameds.com/blogs/news/introd ... les-series But the beauty is that WDS are handling these via optional rules. This is not a true statement either. Some of the changes are being handled via optional rules, others are hard cod...

Re: Kudos to WDS
I still use the Realism&Historicity concept in the form of House Rules. My opponents like it. The gameplay becomes much more realistic, the informal approach of both participants allows you to improvise and improve the rules by adding new ones. The main thing here is a general interest, where the f...

Re: WDS Blog on the Napoleonic Series
The blog is very well presented, I just don't agree with a lot of the content.
