Operation "Snowball" The purpose of this tournament is to provide a registered TWS event in which players can gather and engage each other in entertaining combat. It is intended to be a fun way for members to interact, meet other members who they may never have met, and strengthen the bonds between the officers across our society. Officers participating in this tournament are to conduct themselves with honor at all times, remaining respectful of their opponents and abiding by the rules outlined herein. This tournament is intended to be a fun, social event of learning and interaction among the fine officers that we have in TWS.
This tournament is designed to compare the skills of the Allied officers versus the skills of the Axis officers. The tournament will consist of three rounds of play. We would hope to have at least 8 Officers on each side. The games will use the "Alternate" scenarios developed by "Volcano Man". They can be found here: Volcano Mods It is the responsibility of each officer to download and install these Alternate Scenarios. The visual mods will be up to your own discretion! It is also each officer's responsibility to have the latest updates from HPS and JTS for all games! Each of the alternate scenarios used in this tournament has been modified by Edward "Volcano Man" Williams to provide fairly balanced play. There will be no mirror match games. In order the get the intended results for Panzer Campaigns _Alt scenarios, the following optional rules are REQUIRED. The Alternate Assault Resolution rule is highlighted because it is the single most important required optional rule (it must be activated so that range 0 hard attack values work properly):
All battles will be played with the Fog of War option selected and the Slider Bar set to dead center. Opponent pairings will be determined by the moderator of the tournament. The pairings will be made with consideration for the "Games Owned" form that you were requested to fill out. Only the HPS and JTS Panzer Campaigns will be used! Scott Clawson will moderate the tournament. He will assign opponents and games. All questions and any disputes will be handled by the Moderator with all decisions rendered by the Tournament Moderator in such instances being final and binding to all parties.
