Ken Burns Vietnam

Anyone watching? The taped conversations between Johnson and McNamara are very interesting and how Burns uses them to start off the chapters is cool. Any other thoughts?

I have been watching the series from the beginning. I find the interviews balanced and the story compelling. What a sad chapter in American history and democracy. Can you even begin to image the shape of the world, had the United States opted to support the Vietnamese against the French, as some American advisers on the scene advised. What a horrid price the Cold War inflicted on American decision makers and the many victims of the war.
