I was going to send this in as a question but figured it out! So why waste all that effort in producing it!

Why did the Infantry unit that moved from the village to the clear hex cost 15MP?

Because it is Clear Terrain in Snow Conditions, although it looks like it should have cost 14 MPs (7 x 2 = 14) instead of 15 from what I can see.

Hi Mark,
Thx for participating! The clue was in the elevation. It costs 2MP per 100m, so 1MP/50m - hence 15MP!

I suspected that an elevation change probably accounted for the remaining movement point that was expended, but I could not clearly see the elevation change in your graphic.

Odd that the elevation change was not also multiplied by two due to the snow conditions. That would seem to be an error in the programming as it is obviously more difficult to traverse a slope that is covered in ice as opposed to one that isn't.

It may be that going downhill is easier than uphill, so, double cost if you are going uphill. I don't have the title so I can't test out the situation.
