Summer Challenge Update 2

The Summer Challenge playing 5 different opponents has so far resulted in 5 very different battles...

The game turns completed range from 5 to 22 for me... I made some of the same mistakes in all the games.. And hopefully learned not to make them in games not as far along... Protecting ones artillery is important and not doing so has been an issue for me in the past and haunted me in these games as well... One of our newer members seem to be fixated on my artillery and nearly took all of it... I was surprised to see one of my more experienced opponent make this same mistake as me... But I fear he will make me pay for it soon...

I have been overly cautious when playing the more experience opponents which actually caused me to delay moving quickly and attacking sooner... Two opponents moved their armies together much quicker than I expected... Never underestimate your opponents!

As of today I am winning one of the games and all the rest are draws... But that is not to say I am not loosing at least two of them... And two of them are still very much up for grabs...

So far with 5 games ongoing I have only sent the wrong game file once...

The Battles Continue....

Keep up the great work Aloysius. Only one wrong game file is great. I have done that more than once to the same opponent. Keep us posted.

We had a great match full of surprises for both sides. Thanks, Al, for the great challenge! I think we should do more of these in the future as it involves multiple people and allows us to learn more about our own strategies and those of our opponents.

Well, it is fun! And while my HQ is being showered with compliments from Al, his army fights very well indeed and my men are losing heart....but the fight for the city and river crossing is still fierce, and small things will decide our battle. I'm looking forward to changing side in de proceedings.
