016. Großbeeren: Bülow's Assault ( 24 Turns )
23 August 1813 - Alternate - Intended to be played Head to Head - This version of Bülow's Assault adds in French infantry and cavalry from Oudinot's command to help balance the sides.
The purpose of this tournament is to provide a registered TWS event in which players can gather and engage
each other in entertaining combat. It is intended to be a fun way for members to interact, meet other members
who they may never have met, and strengthen the bonds between the officers across our society.
Officers participating in this tournament are to conduct themselves with honor at all times, remaining
respectful of their opponents and abiding by the rules outlined herein.
This tournament is intended to be a fun, social event of learning and interaction among the fine officers that
we have in TWS.
Two Rounds starting on 1 March 2021
and Ending on 1 April 2022...
Tournament Teams will be assembled by the Battle Brigade Commanders... These teams will comprise a more experienced
and less experienced player...
The opposing teams will be matched up at random in both rounds... The teams will remain the same in Round 2, but
command the oppsosite sides of the Battlefield and play a different opposing team...
All battles will be played with the Fog of War option selected and the Slider Bar set to dead
center.
Opponent pairings will be determined by the moderator of the tournament.
All questions and any disputes will be handled by the Moderator with all decisions rendered by
the
Tournament Moderator in such instances being final and binding to all parties.
Optional Melee Resolution is to be turned on!
1. Battle need to be played long enough for either side to achieve a victory...
2. Intentional stalling of a game to influence the end game victory will result in a Major Victory for the stalling team’s opponent...
3. In the first round battle teams will be commanding there armies and in the second round those of the opposing army...
4. Standard tournament optional rules will be used as shown in the Optional Rule graphic...
These are
the only rules for the tournament... There are no house rules...
5. Battle Teams will face a different opponents battle team’s in each round...
6. Officers must complete both rounds to receive the tournament ribbon...
7. Officers who complete both rounds will be eligible to win tournament prizes...
8. The tournament battle results will be collected from the completion of the "Report a Battle" online form...
9. Game results must be registered by the victorious battle team in each round in order for those results
to be credited to the
participating officer’s battle records and the tournament victory...
10. Win or Loose have Fun!!!
Scoring is based on tournament points earned for each battle:
Major Victory - 4 Points,
Minor Victory - 3 Points,
Draw - 2 Points,
Minor Defeat - 1 Point,
Major Defeat - 0 Points...
Points awarded will be totaled at the end of the tournament victory going to the
Combatant & Army with the most points..
Upon completion of each game, the winner must register the game at:
Report Your Battle for Battle & Victory Points.
This way you will get credit for battle and victory points for your ranking
within your Army... Game Points will be collected from your registered games...

The members of victorious Battle Team will each recieve a Wargaming Society T-Shirt and 1 additional T-Shirt will be given to one participant by random drawing....
The victorious team will receive the victory medal and everyone particiapting will receive
tournament ribbon upon completion of both games...
And all those participating will be awarded double battle points based on the
turns completed.
The army with the most points will be awarded the Battle Brigade Victory
medal...
