The Gettysburg Tournament has come to an end.. The scoring system has not worked out and we will not repeat it in future tournaments... Regardless our hope is all the members that participated had a good time... As well as making a friend across the battlefield...
Our tournament winner was clearly Russ Dodge who accumulated 17,955 points... Hats off to Ducncan Rice who battled on through these two battles...

TOURNAMENT CODE
The purpose of this tournament is to provide a registered TWS event in which players can gather and
engage each other in entertaining combat. It is intended to be a fun way for members to interact, meet other
members who they may never have met, and strengthen the bonds between the officers across our society.
Officers participating in this tournament are to conduct themselves with honor at all times, remaining respectful
of their opponents and abiding by the rules outlined herein. This tournament is intended to be a fun,
social event of learning and interaction among the fine officers that we have in TWS.

The Battle Begins 15 November 2019
1.2a Gettysburg July 2 5 am - 53 Turns - Odds 1 to 1
Historical Scenario
July 2nd at Gettysburg... Not as much room for maneuver as in the 3 day historical battle... Positions as of early morning.. No cavalry this day... Buford is sent south for refitting and the rest of the horse is off skirmishing to the north and east... Stuart's troops are similarly occupied...
SIMULTANEOUS MIRROR MATCH TOURNAMENT
This is a simultaneous mirror match tournament... Each participant plays the scenario from both sides of the battlefield, at the sametime...
Finding scenarios that everyone agrees that they are balanced will never happen...
The tournaments play time has been increased to give everyone adequate time to complete their two games...
TOURNAMENT ENDS - 1 APRIL 2020
This is a one round of play... One scenario played simultaneously meaning each player commands both sides of the battlefield... One opponent starts the scenario as the Confederate Commander and the other opponent starts the a game as the Confederate Commander... Then they both send the game to each other to play the Union side of the battlefield...
TOURNAMENT SCORING
Scoring is based on the Victory Dialog total victory points...
Tournament particpants will be required to send a snapshot of the Victory Dialog to Al upon completion of the both mirror match games..
Points awarded will be totaled at the end of the tournament
victory going to the
Combatant & Army with the most points..
This way you will get credit for battle and victory points for your ranking within your Army...
OPTIONAL RULES
All battles will be played with the Fog of War option selected and the Slider Bar set to dead center. Opponent pairings will be determined by the moderator of the tournament. All questions and any disputes will be handled by the Moderator with all decisions rendered by the Tournament Moderator in such instances being final and binding to all parties.
